When a publication is referenced repeatedly, and it is the only publication by the same author referenced in the article, it is to be referred to as ‘Op. cit.’, instead of the full title of an article or a book, and the author’s surname is to be followed by an initial letter of the name:

ROWELL, S.C. Op. cit., p. 49.
HAMANN, R. Op. cit., p. 270.

If several works by the same author are referenced in the article, in every new reference, the titles are to be abbreviated to the part which is not repeated in other titles of works by the same author referenced in the article, and are to be followed by a three-pointer, for instance:

1 KOCKA, J. Weder Stand noch Klasse…, S. 15.
2 KOCKA, J. Geschichte und Aufklärung…, S. 77.

When the same publication is referenced consecutively, it is to be referred to as ‘Ibid.’ in the second and further footnotes, for instance:

1 ŽALYS, Vytautas. Klaipėdos prijungimas prie Lietuvos 1923 m. ir vietos lietuviai. In 1923 metų sausio įvykiai Klaipėdoje (Acta Historica Universitatis Klaipedensis, t. IV). Sud. Alvydas NIKŽENTAITIS. Klaipėda, 1995, p. 44.
2 Ibid., p. 47.

All titles should be given in the original language. Titles in non-Roman scripts will be given in Romanised versions. For Romanisation, we follow the rules recommended by The Library of Congress.
