Focus and Scope

The editors of Acta Historica Universitatis Klaipedensis invite contributions in the field of Baltic history from the Middle Ages to the present day. The geographical scope of the journal covers the southern and the eastern part of the Baltic Rim, including contemporary Germany, Poland, Russia, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Finland. Special attention is paid to the history of Lithuania and East Prussia, and the relations between neighbouring (German, Polish, Lithuanian, Russian, etc) cultures.

We are particularly interested in research that will appeal to a broad audience of professional historians, and not just to specialists in a single specific field. Acta Historica Universitatis Klaipedensis aims to strengthen cooperation in the network of historians in Baltic Rim countries. Therefore, we invite the submission of information about coming research events, review articles, and discussions of professional issues relevant to the history community in the Baltic region.
