To manage competitiveness, an objective assessment tool is required. An error in choosing a measurement method can lead to the adoption of erroneous management decisions. The purpose of the article is to assess the competitiveness of light industry enterprises in Ukraine, to identify factors ensuring their competitiveness, and to develop recommendations for determining the feasibility of investing in the procurement and implementation of modern innovative technologies. The article summarises the views of the scientific community on features of the development of industrial enterprises in current market conditions, and the need to attract modern innovative technologies as a component in increasing their competitiveness. In determining the level of competitiveness of enterprises, it has been suggested to take into account factors determining the level of information reliability and weapons. To evaluate the individual component competitiveness of the enterprise, it is proposed to calculate an integral assessment based on the use of taxonomic analysis. An analysis of the innovative activities of Ukrainian industrial enterprises has been carried out. A flow chart determining the feasibility of purchasing innovative specialised equipment has been developed; it will simultaneously maximise the likelihood of attracting investment capital, with the simultaneous establishment of business cooperation with state authorities and local government.
The migrant entrepreneur plays a crucial role in economic development of the city. However, scant attention has been given to the study of the characteristics of migrant entrepreneurs in the context of urban areas in Asia, especially in Indonesia. Therefore, this paper identifies the main characteristics of migrant entrepreneurs in South Jakarta. The research itself involves sixty-eight first-generation migrant entrepreneurs as respondents of the survey. The characteristics of migrant entrepreneurs are analysed using descriptive statistics method of frequency distribution analysis. The analysis has been conducted based on background characteristics, cultural characteristics, business-related goals, business strategy, and performance. The analysis has revealed that the existence of migrant entrepreneurs in Jakarta has a positive impact not only on the development of the city but also on the development of their own homeland.
Straipsnyje analizuojamas gamybos įmonės įvaizdis klientų požiūriu. Teorinė analizė atskleidė, kad gamybos įmonės įvaizdžio struktūrą sudaro: organizacijos vidinis, vadovo, darbuotojų, prekės ir paslaugos, prekių ženklo įvaizdžiai. Kadangi klientas pasirenka prekės ženklą, gamybos įmonės įvaizdis turi išsiskirti iš kitų rinkos dalyvių teigiamu aspektu ir būti kažkuo individualus. Remiantis atlikto žvalgomojo tyrimo rezultatais, išskiriami gamybos įmonės įvaizdžio trūkumai: socialinis atsakingumas (7 %), vadovo išvaizda (3 %), darbuotojų paslaugumas (8 %), paslaugos kokybė (7 %), darbuotojų lojalumas prekės ženklui (7 %). Nepašalinus šių trūkumų, galima susilaukti iš klientų netinkamo požiūrio į gamybos įmonę ir taip prarasti klientus. Klientų požiūris į gamybos įmonės įvaizdį itin svarbus, nes apsprendžia ateities lūkesčius ir galutinius rezultatus.
As competition is becoming more and more pronounced, the market entry for newly established companies is a complex task. This process becomes even more complicated if a company is small, because it has to deal not only with lack of experience, but also with a lack of funds. Business incubators have been spreading all over the world for more than half a century. It suggests that this type of sponsorship of small and medium business will be relevant in the next decade and continuous research in this field will help to provide optimal support for companies.
