Abstract
This article presents a detailed analysis of factors influencing labour market disparities across Lithuania’s regions. A further objective is
to examine regional differences in labour market indicators by identifying trends in employment and labour force participation among
the urban and rural populations. The study also provides an in-depth assessment of registered unemployment disparities at both the
county and municipal levels. While urban-rural differences in labour market indicators offer a broad perspective on the observed changes,
territorial disparities, expressed through relative indicators, offer a more detailed understanding of differentiation in the analysed
metrics. The findings will provide insights to inform labour market policy priorities in Lithuania, especially at the regional level.
