Abstract
The author attempts to reconstruct how Joseph Stalin viewed the future of the German province of East Prussian and its development within the USSR. The problems Moscow had formulating policy with respect to the newly annexed region are considered from the point of view of the conflicts between military and civil authorities. Newly discovered documents from central and local archives describe the history of the so-called Stalin Plan that outlined the development of the Kaliningrad region (1947). The results of the realization of “the Stalin Plan” are analyzed, the consequences to relations between Moscow and the Kaliningrad area are evaluated, and also their influence on the formation of Kaliningrad government structures is estimated.

Abstract
The article is devoted to present the results of ethnomusicological research on parallels in folk song melodies of the Prussian ethnic minorities: Lietuvininkai, Masurians, Kashubians. In the history of ethnic groups of the south part of the West Prussia and East Prussia speaking dialects of the Polish language – Kashubs and Masurs – you may distinguish quite a lot of parallels with the history of the lietuvininkai (residents of Lithuania Minor). A more detailed analysis of the melodies of investigated ethnic groups permits to state that the melodies of the lietuvininkai evidently differ from Polish melodies by the character of intonation, rhythm and performance. Nevertheless, they have intonation complexes, rhythmic elements that are alien to the melodic lines of the lietuvininkai folk songs and could be absorbed from the Polish ethnic music.

Abstract
The year 1923 was a critical moment in the history of the Weimar Republic. Due to Germany’s delay in paying war reparations, French and Belgian forces occupied the Ruhr region in January. Shortly afterwards the Lithuanians seized Memel (now Klaipėda), which in the Treaty of Versailles had been declared a Free City with a French Governor and garrison. German public opinion was outraged by this situation. In the press, a campaign against Lithuania was started. The article is devoted to publish the results of research on the military potential of Reichswehr in East Prussia in January 1923. The hypothesis concerning the military Reichswehr impossibility to influence the Klaipėda events has to be examined in this article.
