Journal „Computational Science and Techniques“ is an annual academic refereed journal published in english with the focus on interdisciplinary field connecting computer science, mathematical modeling, environmental and life sciences. The journal is interested in papers about various computational applications that are connected with modeling, algorithms, simulations or software developed to solve science or engineering problem or computer and information science that develops and optimizes the advanced system components, which are used for example in decision support systems or are applied in ecosystems management and etc. We encourage young scientists to submit for Computational Science and Techniques. Papers of high quality in interdisciplinary field are welcome.
The articles submitted to the journal may take the form of regular research papers (up to 10,000 words) or shorter research reports. Short papers may include, for instance, new techniques, philosophical discussions, current controversies and suggestions for new research. Review or overview papers are welcome, as long as they are sufficiently critical, succinct and make a conceptual contribution to the field. The submitted paper has to be original article, not previously published, and not being considered for publication elsewhere. Separate volumes publish materials of international conferences concerned with computations and computational techniques.
Parts of the paper should follow the order:
- Title;
- Authors;
- Name of the institution and department;
- Email adresses of the authors;
- Abstract;
- Up to five key words;
- Introduction;
- The main part of article should follow general requirements for scientific papers;
- Conclusion/discussion;
- References;
- Brief authors‘ CV;
- Summary in Lithuanian (or summary in English to submitted for translation).
All papers submitted to the review should be sent in MS Word or compatible .doc files. The document should contain a title page in which paper title, author names and surnames, affiliation, address, email and brief CV's of authors should be present. The information about the authors should be present only in the title page. The rest of the document should contain the article body with paper title. The authors should ensure that no personal information indicating authorship is left in the document preferences. This is required to ensure the blind review process. The font used is Times New Roman. The text should be typed in A4 format page with the single line space. The following margins should be kept:
- Top 3,0 cm;
- Bottom 3,0 cm;
- Left 3,0 cm;
- Right 3,0 cm.
Chapters and subchapters should be numbered, except the introduction and conclusion part. The text should be typed in Times New Roman font using 12pt size with single line space. Mathematical formulae should be typed with MS Equation, formulae are numbered through the whole article indepentently from the chapter. No page numbers are required.
References should be arranged using the Harvard referencing system (for full explanation see http://www.bournemouth.ac.uk/library/using/harvard_system.html).
Examples of book references are:
- Smith, J. (2005a). Dutch Citing Practices. The Hague: Holland Research Foundation.
- Smith, J. (2005b). Harvard Referencing. London: Jolly Good Publishing.
In giving the city of publication, an internationally well-known city (such as London, The Hague, or New York) is given as the city alone. If the city is not internationally well known, the country (or state and country if in the U.S.) is given.

- The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word or RTF document file format.
- Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
- The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
